Francis deTar

Fran obtained his nursing degree from North Idaho College, his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Boise State University, and his Masters of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. His nursing experience has been as a Surgical Nurse, IMCU nurse, and Surgical Charge Nurse with Kootenai Health. After obtaining his Family Nurse Practitioner certification through The American Nurses Credentialing Center, he specialized in General Surgery with experience at Kootenai Health and Northwest Specialty Hospital. He joined Hayden Lake Family Physicians in 2019 as a primary care provider. Fran married his wife in 1982, the love of his life. They have five children and twenty one grandchildren. He loves traveling and spending time on the water with his family, landscaping the yard, and wood working for relaxation. Fran looks for Our Lord in every patient and meets them where they are, truly listening to them and implementing life choices that are realistic.
